At the end of November, one of Pheasant Bonanza’s most decorated Guide Dogs, Duke, went home to his FURever home near Omaha, Nebraska through a KAMO adoption. It was incredibly hard for Trent & Aaron to say goodbye but they knew he deserved to retire in such great fashion. Duke has guided with Trent for more than 8 seasons and he’s had well over 18,000 points and retrieves in his guiding career. Duke’s image was engraved on a Franchi Shotgun, he’s been in Benelli’s marketing material, Stetson’s marketing material, he’s appeared in five outdoor magazines, been on four outdoor TV shows, and he’s the most well-known amongst the Pheasant Bonanza customers.
The moment Tom & Sally met Duke, they fell in love and knew he needed to live with them and join their family. Within a week of being adopted, they were able to get him altered as well as a midsection lump removal surgery.
Duke is doing extremely well and loving his retirement life. He has new fur siblings and a huge back yard to enjoy.
Duke will always be remember at Pheasant Bonanza as one of the greatest guide dogs they ever had.
