The KAMO Foster Care Program exists to help animals that have been surrendered for adoption. It is not designed for personal pet boarding. If you are in need of a boarding facility, please contact our partner, Pheasant Bonanza Hunt Club & Kennel for their boarding prices.
Why Foster?
KAMO’s current facilities where we provide shelter and necessities for the surrendered dogs cannot always house as many dogs as we need room for.
Sometimes animals have an illness or injury that need some tender loving care that they can only get in a home.
If you’re interested in potentially adopting a dog, fostering is a great way to see if you and a potential dog make a good fit.
Please keep in mind:
We ask that Foster parents are willing to provide the necessary food for the dogs they foster. KAMO will pay for any veterinarian care or meds that may be necessary for the dogs.
Foster times can be a few days to several months. We ask that you’re willing to care for the dog until she/he is ready to be adopted.
